The School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) at Nanyang Technology University (NTU, PI: Asst Prof. Zhao Wenting) is seeking to recruit a Research Fellow for collaborative work with the Mechanobiology Institute (MBI, NUS) devoted to studies of nanoscale membrane reorganization in aging using nanofabrication-enabled cellular manipulation and high-resolution live cell imaging. The project aims to elucidate mechanisms of cellular adaptations to aging process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, run and implement scientific project on nanoscale membrane dynamics in cells
- Collaborate with other team members, train and supervise junior laboratory members
- Write scientific paper and grants

Job Requirements:

- A Ph.D in biomedical engineering or related disciplines. Research backgrounds in material topography engineering and advanced microscopy are highly preferred
- Recent Ph.D graduates within 3 year experience
- Have more than 2 first-authored papers in reputable journals
- Experience in nanomaterials synthesis, surface patterning, topography engineering, nano-/micro-fabrication and related techniques
- Experience in mammalian cell culture, immunostaining, cell transfection, and background knowledge in cell adhesion and cell-ECM interaction regulation
- Experience in advanced microscopy, super-resolution cell imaging, machine learning-based image analysis is highly desirable
