South Queensland Environmental Expertise & Services Pty Ltd (SQEES) is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Environmental Specialist to join our busy, niche consultantancy.

SQEES has an interesting body of project work, including environmental strategy, environmental compliance & risk management, contaminated land management, land management auditing, energy efficiency modelling, and integrated health, safety, environment and quality management systems.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, and engaging, self-starter. The successful applicant will have:

• Degree qualifications in environmental science, environmental management, or related sciences.
• Experience working in an industrial setting with a focus on environmental compliance.
• Proven ability as an excellent verbal and written communicator.
• An understanding of the big picture, with the ability to dive deep into technical detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work independantly, and flexibly, whilst achieving outstanding results.
• A pragmatic approach and focus on good environmental outcomes.
• A desire to engage in the success of the business, and to help grow the project base (in variety as well as volume).

The role is fully flexible, and will suit a competent, confident worker, who has industry experience in environmental compliance. Tasks will cover the full project lifecycle from proposal writing to field work, data analysis, and report writing and production. This is a great opportunity for you to capitalise on your strengths, and focus on delivering great quality outcomes for our clients. Start on casual terms and work towards full time engagement. Initial hourly rates are negotiable and will be based on qualifications, experience, and commercial considerations. Work will be mostly be from your home office, with the potential for some industrial site work in Southern Queensland.
