Our client is an innovative drone company who is a subsidery of Alphabet, Googles parent company. Our client is looking for a GIS Analyst Delivery Zone to join their Flight Operations team who can work remotely from home in Australia. You will be employed on a contract basis, full time & paid on an hourly rate + super.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate has a passion for geospatial analysis, demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices for ground object recognition from aerial and satellite imagery, and the ability to deliver results as part of a

dynamic, cross-functional team. The DZ Analyst works with a larger team to ensure that DZs

are placed in accordance with specifications and ready for delivery missions.

What You’ll Do:

• Interpret aerial, satellite, and ground-based imagery to identify real world environments that are suitable for drone delivery
• Propose and verify locations for delivery zones in accordance with specifications
• Track trends and statistics for delivery zones over time and geographic area using proprietary and off-the-shelf software tools
• Provide feedback on processes and tools to improve delivery operations

What You’ll Need:

• Experience interpreting aerial and/or satellite imagery
• Knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) practices and tools
• Working knowledge of residential/commercial land parcels, utility infrastructure, and right-of-ways
• Strong attention to detail and documentation

Bonus:

• Experience with aviation flight operations
• Proficiency with GIS tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS
