Welder

Job Description Summary/Objective We're looking for a hardworking professional who enjoys meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background in residential fittings and welds, from light fixtures to duct work, and will be willing to work on-site as well as in-house to complete jobs for customers on time and on budget. Essential Functions

• Must read blueprints and perform shop math to layout, fabricate and weld various parts and assemblies
• Must be able to weld all types of metals, set and maintain welding machine (tip, liner changes, etc.) and weld vertical, horizontal and overhead
• Perform all MIG and TIG welding procedures (all positions), including machine settings and necessary fittings.
• Field install welds, including duct work, light fixtures, vents, fans, metal sheeting and other parts
• Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
• Welding of mild steel and aluminum (training available) where required.
• Grind and clean area where required and ability to use grinder, sander, rivet guns, saws and other air tools
• Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter
• Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
