Care Aide

Care Aide's job descriptions:

1. Grooming, bathing, showering, diaper changing, bathroom functions, assisted exercise and oral feeding.
2. Ensuring the Kare recipient's home is organised according to their needs and that safety measures are in place.
3. Providing emotional support and encouragement to the caregiver.
4. Mobility assistance may be required, for example helping the Kare recipient in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair. Turning and reposition the recipient in their bed as needed.
5. Transporting or escorting the Kare recipient to medical and other appointments.
6. Providing coaching and guidance to the member's caregiver.
7. Listen to any health concerns and report any changes in health, behaviour, and needs to the Kare Manager in-charge.
8. Completing accurate paperwork and submit on a timely basis.Participate in Company's caregiver training and any other job-related training programs.
9. Be professional and compassionate and possess good interpersonal communication skills.
10. Instil fun, enjoyment, and positive energy during the therapy to ensure the therapy recipient stays engaged and motivated throughout the therapy sessions.
11. Vigilant, observant, and sensitive to all the care recipient's responses and needs.
12. Perform therapy and care support for the care recipient with instruction from the Therapy Supervisor.
13. Facilitate activities according to the client's recommended and tailored Dementia Therapy program

Requirement:

. Ability to work independently, with little oversight, but with accountability to executive management.

. Strong problem solving and negotiating skills, reaches out and operate as a team player.

. Experience in geriatric care within homes and assisted living environments are preferred but

not required.

. Must be certified in CPR AED or willing to be trained.

. Able to show patience and respect in dealing with sick, elderly or disabled clients.

. Keen to work under close supervision of i-Kare Management and cooperate with the client's family.

. A willingness to work flexible hours, which may include night shifts

. Proficient in English
