Amotec is conducting an Executive Search for a Director of Plant Operations to lead a high-performing manufacturing team outside Cleveland, OH, specializing in the chemical industry. The Director of Plant Operations will excel in operational efficiency, Lean, team leadership, quality, safety and compliance. Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency in operations
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
• Effectively manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and meet production schedules
• Ability to establish budgets, forecast production/goals, and drive teams to execute

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• BS in Engineering or other related discipline
• Proven track record of improving KPIs using LEAN practices
• Highly experienced with ERP systems, project management and communication
• 5+ years of experience in the chemical or coatings manufacturing industry
• Ability to lead programs, think on your feet, work in a fast paced environment and be self-motivated
