Java API Testing Engineer || Disys || Remote || W2 or 1099

This engagement is to support Performance Test Engineering efforts for Institutional Trade Processing (ITP) business. This business consists of 5-7 core business applications and few supporting applications. Typically, there are 3-4 releases (quarterly) for each of the core applications that requires performance team to do a full-scale end-to-end test against defined non-functional requirements. For these tests, we heavily rely on JMeter and few home-grown tools (Written in Java). Much of these applications are API or message based with very little User interface for interaction. Therefore, bulk of the day-to-day function includes: test design, test simulation, validation requires good understanding of basic operations including (but not limited to), message interpretation, transformation, substitution, data copying, data manipulation, message listener, pollsters, creating hooks for the throughput calculations, good MQ familiarities to monitor and troubleshoot, database querying skills. These skills are in addition to the standard performance skills:
1. Integration of test suites with the pipeline
2. JVM monitoring, analysis
3. APM monitoring (Dynatrace or other tools)
4. Log parsing and analysis (Splunk, etc.)
5. System monitoring (Virtual Machines, Cloud, OpenShift Containers, Databases, OS Linux/Unix, Besides, being engaged on the day-to-day delivery, I expect vendor/partner play strategic roles in helping achieve KPI's, efficiency and become partner in brining experience needed to help with current challenges.
This will not be a fully owned services because I have a large FTE leads for each application, about 50% of resource requirements is fulfilled by the FTE's.
