Job Description

We are working with a Cleveland client to identify a Sr. Data Warehouse Engineer, Azure. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain data warehouses using Azure technologies such as Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Storage.
  • Lead a team of data warehouse developers and engineers to ensure high-quality code, on-time delivery, and successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and data models.
  • Design and implement data integration solutions, including ETL processes and data pipelines, using Azure Data Factory and other relevant tools.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy by developing and implementing data validation and testing processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data models, system architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our data warehouse solutions.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the team, providing guidance and support on technical and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and data engineering, with a focus on Azure technologies.
  • Deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Storage.
  • Strong experience in ETL development, data modeling, and data integration.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading data warehouse development projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality code, on-time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
