The opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Security Officer to join our Brisbane based Security and Facilities team in a permanent full time role.

In this hands-on and people focussed position you will be responsible for coordinating security service and process delivery across Airbus Australia Pacific (AAP) Corporate, designated AAP operational sites, and aspects of the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).

You will represent AAP in discussions of defence and security issues, including working in close collaboration with Government National Security agencies to ensure visibility and identify potential areas of risk and / or threat to AAP.

Specifically you will :

• Manage the Airbus electronic and key access control system and pass issue for the Brisbane operational area
• Manage Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) process for Brisbane based personnel
• Perform role of Security Officer for Corporate personnel and facilities
• Administration of security contracts inclusive of : CCTV and security and alarm control, including access control systems, locksmith services, Security Guarding, and Classified waste disposal
• Manage the Airbus overseas travel program inclusive of compliance and reporting in accordance with Airbus and Defence requirements
• Management of annual Security Awareness Training and Corporate Security Induction online training
• Management of the Facilities and Security Management System IM system

The skills and experience suited to this role :

• Previous experience in a multi-site security environment inclusive of access control, guarding, credential issuing processes.
• Experience within the Aviation Industry and Australian Defence Organisation or Defence Industry Security Program highly desirable
• Diploma or Certificate IV level qualification (or commensurate experience) in one of the following disciplines Policing, Security Operations, Security & Risk Management
